Shed 1: Local Farmers/Produce Dealers
It's smart for customers to buy their produce from local farmers. The produce is fresher, it supports the local economy, and the environmental effects of transporting the produce are significantly reduced. That is why the Dallas Farmers Market emphasizes locally grown goods through the  program. These farmers, who sell their own produce, grown within a 150-mile radius of Dallas, can be found in Shed 1 and are clearly identified by the signs.
On Saturdays, you'll find verified local farmers selling meat, poultry, eggs and produce that is organically, naturally, sustainable and conventionally grown. |
